Twinfield users are generally small- to medium-sized companies, although we have many large ones too. Accountancy firms of all sizes also use Twinfield to service their clients. Many small businesses and entrepreneurs are provided with Twinfield through their accountant. We have customers in many different industries and the system provides different 'roles' (pre-defined levels of authority) which, at one level, are easy enough to use for an entrepreneur starting out, and at the higher levels are powerful, flexible and wide ranging enough for large organisations.

SaaS involves software applications running in remote data centers accessed by customers over the Internet. It's similar to the way that we share other critical services such as water and power supplies or telephone networks. The advent of wideranging internet availability has been one of the key
factors in the accelerated take up of SaaS in recent years, but the concept is not new - computer scientist John McCartney spoke of the possibility of sharing computer power and applications in 1961 at the famous MIT institute in the US. Other examples of this type of service include online banking, online investing, Hotmail, Google and Salesforce.com. More and more applications are being offered in this way.
You only pay a monthly subscription for Twinfield and details are on the
Subscription types web page. Your subscription level is determined by you according to the level of functionality you require. All of the options are explained for each type of subscription.
Because no software needs to be sent or installed you can get quick access to your Twinfield accounts and we can even provide a free trial. Small organisations will generally be up and running within 24 hours of subscribing. You receive a step-by-step plan by e-mail including detailed instructions. Twinfield can even ensure you keep working with your existing accounts if you currently use another package such as Exact, Unit4, etc. For larger organisations the start-up time depends on integration, parameterisation, reporting requirements, hours and expenses processes, authorisation levels, etc. Even so, it still takes only a matter of days rather than months, as would be the case for conventional software that has to be installed and proven on your IT infrastructure.
