Twinfield tip - Getting the most out of Twinfield

Did you know that you can customise your Twinfield desktop in order to navigate quickly and easily to all of the things you use regularly?

Every user can have their own My Desktop and Favourites.  In the first screenshot you can see an example of a modified desktop with links to commonly used functions in the “My Desktop” area.  One of the nice features of this is that you can customise the name of each function, so for instance I have changed “Purchase invoice” to “Register supplier invoices” and the customer ageing report has been called “Aged debtors”.  You can have up to 9 icons in My Desktop, but if you want quick access to more functions then you can create as many items as you want under Favourites.  By setting up important functions as favourites, you have direct access to them at all times from whatever screen you are on by simply by clicking the Favourites icon ( ) in the menu bar.  You can access the settings for your favourites via General -> System -> Favourites and, like the icons in My Desktop, you can tailor their name.

For accountants and system administrators, it is possible to create bespoke settings for My Desktop and Favourites and apply them to multiple users in one step.  This makes it is possible to set up tailored views for different types of users or organisations.

We hope you find these functions useful – let us know how you get on with them!
