Introduction to Twinfield UK

Welcome to the first newsletter from Twinfield UK. This is an exciting time for Twinfield - we are continuing to expand our UK business activities, we are enhancing our product portfolio and we are recruiting new staff to help drive the UK business forward.

We strongly believe that our online accounting software presents fantastic opportunities to both accountants and businesses. It transforms the way that accounting firms provide services to clients, enabling them to increase efficiency and turn the accounting function into a source of high quality information and advice.  Whilst many of our competitors have recently jumped on the Software as a Service (SaaS) bandwagon, at Twinfield we have actually been providing online accounting solutions to accounting practices and SMEs for the last ten years. We are a company that’s different from others in the way we work and the maturity of our offering.

We believe that most online accounting systems have focused only on the needs of the SME and not done enough to meet the needs of the accountant. In fact some online software vendors seem to foresee the accountant’s role becoming marginalised to the extent that they’re not needed and the SME will want to handle everything themselves. At Twinfield we don’t agree.

Nowadays SMEs are far more willing to break with tradition, questioning accountants’ fees and comparing firms on the basis of the quality and extent of services offered. This is where the adoption of Twinfield can help, by providing them with tools which enable them to evolve from the role of annual auditor to that of a true financial consultant, giving them the capability to deliver quantifiable value to their clients throughout year - which can only be a good thing for building long-term trust and loyalty between accounting firms and their clients.

We have recently strengthened the Twinfield UK team with the appointment of Kevin McLoughlin as Senior Consultant. Kevin brings a wealth of accounting experience to this new role. He is a part qualified accountant and before joining Twinfield he worked at Infor. Prior to this, Kevin spent 17 years working at CODA. With his accounting background, Kevin understands the processes and pain points that accounting practices face on a daily basis, and so he can advise from a first-hand perspective on how Twinfield can work to the benefit of accountants and their clients. When not in the office Kevin likes to spend his spare time watching and participating in a variety of sports. He is a keen football supporter and he has competed in the London Marathon twice!
